​Did you know Houston’s bayous play a crucial role in supporting birds and wildlife? The bayous create a variety of habitats that provide nesting, feeding, and resting areas. Migratory birds rely on Houston and its bayous with millions of birds stopping and flying through during  Fall migration, as well! Houston is so important for birds that it is a designated Urban Bird Treaty City working with the US Fish and Wildlife Service to create bird-friendly environments and connect Houstonians with nature through bird related activities. Help us remove harmful trash from Brays Bayou to improve our waterways for the birds and us!
